This morning, I was so hungry that I wanted to eat a full meal (i.e. rice and viand). Since we already had leftover rice from the night before, I immediately took out something from the freezer to fry. After a few minutes, I was seated at our table contently eating my meal. Seeing that I was enjoying myself, Caila stopped playing and climbed up on my lap. And, since she saw that I was using my hands to eat, she did the same.
She seemed content feeding herself and sometimes letting me feed her, and she didn’t get down until the plate had been (almost) cleaned off by the both of us.
It was a simple meal consisting only of rice, fried chicken fingers and ketchup, but it became a very special one because it was the first time I literally shared it with my daughter.
