Pasalubong: Donuts and Japanese Goodies

J.Co donuts is an Indonesian brand that’s famous in the Philippines, and I was curious to find out why people back home were going crazy over them.

Fortunately, when Hubby arrived last week after a short visit to the Philippines, he brought these
a dozen J.Co donuts!
The next day, 2 Japanese guests arrived. One of them brought this for us to share
And the other guest who frequently visits left a wrapped parcel on my desk.  When my girls opened it later at home, we found these inside
So many yummy goodies in 2 days!

Now if you see me looking plumper than usual, you’ll know why =)

  1. Hello Pam, did you enjoy eating J.Co donuts? Like you, I was forced to get a box of 6 donuts many months ago because I wanted to find out the hype about this brand. The filling is not as sweet as the other brands I have tasted. It's best eaten too when fresh because it has the tendency to be slightly harder when exposed.

Nice to see you in the BC Bloggers weekly comment exchange! :)

    1. Hi Ida! It was...ok (sorry to disappoint)...pretty much the same as the other brands here. I guess the quality of the ones in Dubai are different than the ones in the Philippines. I did hear that J.Co will be opening a branch here though, so we'll see =)
      See you around! =)

  2. It's wonderful to receive such yummy goodies! J. Co is lighter and less dense than KK donuts, it's also less expensive, I think. It's good pasalubong for the kids. But for me, parang may kulang and the filling is little lang. The names of the donuts are quite interesting, however.

  4. The fun part is, I only tasted JCo once! hahaha. And I don't know when I'll taste it again. I'm not so much into donuts but it's true that JCo is so famous now here in PH.

    1. It seems every time a new donut brand starts operations there, it becomes a hit. Pinoys are really into donuts, I guess =)

  6. I also joined the craze when J.Co opened their branch in Cagayan de Oro City, as in kahit and haba ng pila.. ok lang masarap naman din pala not compared to Krispy Kreme. :-)

    1. I agree masarap din sya, but then again the quality of the other donut brands here are different from those in the Philippines. I guess I'll find out the real difference if J.Co opens a branch here =)

  7. Yummy goodies. I love JCo but super layo naman ang branch nila dito sa amin. And I heard about long lines too.
