Just a few minutes ago, my mobile rang...
Me: Hello, Ma!
Mama: Mel, tawagan mo ako ngayon. Wala akong load. May sasabihin lang ako.
Me: Ok.
Mama: Ngayon na ha.
Me: Opo.
We cut the line and I immediately dial Mama’s number.
Mama: Hello, Mel!
Me: Ma!
Me: Opo.
Mama: Naku!
Me: Ganon?
Mama: Oo.
Me: Opo.
Me: Opo.
Mama: Si Caila ha, wag nyong papabayaan.
Me: Opo.
Me: Opo.
Anyway, you get the idea.
After some time, I tried to divert the conversation to keep her calm (because she sounded really nervous and worried).
Haaaaaay!!! Mama is such a worrywart. It’s good because I’m always assured that she loves us so much, but bad because she has high blood and things like this make her blood pressure shoot up.
Anyway, thank you, Ma! Don’t worry, we’re ok. I love you!
