Lately, dahil halos araw-araw nag-oovertime ang asawa ko sa trabaho, nakikiusap ako sa mga tagamaneho namin sa opisina na ihatid ako sa bahay. Medyo magkalapit naman yung mga tinitirhan namin na area kaya ok lang naman sa kanila; at dahil ako yung nagaayos ng schedule nila, alam ko kung sino ang pwede after office hours. Kahapon, si P yung pinakiusapan ko na maghatid sa akin. Dahil wala pa syang permanent na kotse (kakatapos lang yung kontrata ng lini-lease namin para sa kanya at ginagamit muna nya yung mga kotse ng mga amo namin pag nasa labas sila ng bansa), ginamit nya yung Volvo ng isang amo namin. wafi's light & sound show

If Dubai Mall has the Dancing Fountain, Wafi has the Light & Sound Show which is just as entertaining. Early this year, my family went there to watch this show which was still fairly new. Back then, the theme was about ancient Egypt. It was a mix of vibrant colors and lights that showed all sorts of lifelike images, including pharaohs and pyramids. Caila didn’t know whether she liked the show or if she found it scary. One moment she would stare in wonder, the next minute she would turn away and embrace her daddy. And then she would watch again.

mi4: ghost protocol

I’m sure many people watched (or will watch) the movie because of the story and it’s the fourth installment in the Mission Impossible series. But I’m sure as well that, like Hubby and me, Dubai residents will watch it for the simple reason of wanting to see how the emirate and all its glory looked in a Hollywood film. I haven’t watched the first three Mission Impossible movies so I can’t compare Ghost Protocol with the others, but I enjoyed every bit of this one because it had just the right blend of action, thriller and suspense, Agent Dunn’s humor, plus cool gadgets...that coming from a person who doesn’t like action films at all!

what most people go through at naia terminal 1

We all know that NAIA Terminal 1 was declared as the world’s worst airport a few months ago, but I just wanted to share the experience we had there when we left the Philippines. We didn’t have any problems with the authorities or anything, but this just goes to show what a pretty lousy system they have.

Hurray! I finally got my earrings repaired! Actually, they weren’t really broken; it’s just that the clasp of one of them became loose, which made me afraid to wear them for a long time (in case it falls off and I end up losing it). I missed wearing them because they’re the only earrings I have that I can use for any occasion, whether formal or casual. Good thing we finally had some free time over the weekend to go to the shop at New Gold Souk Centre to have them fixed.

Many of our friends have eaten at La Mesa, and most (if not all) of them have given positive comments about the food and their experience. The only thing they don’t like is the restaurant’s policy of no slippers which I personally think is reasonable considering it’s in a 5 star hotel.
