birthday giveaway: the richest man in babylon

After work yesterday, Hubby and I, along with some of our friends, attended a seminar on Wealth Management. For someone who has absolutely no knowledge about investments, it was very interesting and gave me lots to think about the way we handle money and where we put it. The latter part of the seminar was a bit boring though, because of the terms that were being used which seemed like a foreign language, but at least Hubby understood what the speaker was saying.

Anyway, aside from the loads of helpful information we were able to take away from that seminar, we each received a goody bag containing a pretty notebook and pen, and a copy of George S. Clason’s book “The Richest Man in Babylon.”

Of course I haven’t read it yet but according to the summary at the back, this book “offers an understanding of – and a solution to – your personal financial problems that will guide you through a lifetime. This is the book that holds the secrets to acquiring money, keeping money, and making money earn more money.”  Now who doesn't want that? =) 

As I mentioned earlier, Hubby and I each got a goody bag, so that means we both have copies of the book. Since it’s only logical that we’ll only need one, that’s where the contest comes in.

We’ve already entered the month of March, and to me, that only means one thing: it’s my birthday month! And to celebrate, I’ve decided to hold a contest and give away my copy of “The Richest Man in Babylon” as the prize. The book is absolutely brand new, with no damage whatsoever =)

How to win?  All you have to do is comment on this post with a statement like I want to be the richest woman in the Philippines! Of course, if you’re a man, you should say that you want to be the richest man. And the country you want to be the richest person in can be whatever country you want, it doesn’t have to be the one you’re from. Once you’ve posted your comment, drop me an e-mail at blabsnthoughts@aol.com mentioning the time you commented, along with your details. Only one entry/comment per person!  Participants need to be residents of Dubai though (or willing to travel to Dubai) because I would like to be able to meet the winner and personally give the prize.  Or if you have a relative living here who can collect the book on your behalf, that's ok too.

Deadline of entries is on the 23rd of March 2013 (my birthday!) at 2359 hrs Dubai local time and the winner will be announced here and notified via e-mail. As simple and as easy as that.
